Online marketing business has become the fastest-growing and ever more  prominent in the world of advertising and there are a couple of very sound  reasons for that. First of all, online marketing business is cheap and  lucrative. There is really no comparison between online marketing and  conventional marketing when it comes to costs. Just take Super Bowl as an  example. Only the biggest players can even hope of advertising during Super  Bowl and other major events like that. Even when you scale it down, it is still  an expense you can live without. The other advantage of online marketing is  that you can target specific groups of people who are most likely to be  interested in what you have to offer. You can target them by a number of  criteria such as age, interests, geographic location and many, many others.

There are two main types of online marketing business and they will be  discussed in brief in this article.

The first one is e-commerce, which is basically an online shop. You have goods,  or services to offer and you are advertising them online, hoping to attract new  customers and to keep in contact with the ones you have already made. The other  type is affiliate marketing which is an internet-specific way of advertising  which entails you advertising other people’s products or services on your  website and earning commissions from the sales that are made via your website.

It is great for those who do not have the goods to sell.
